Missionary

As noted, happiness is the highest degree of functionality. The question then that must be answered by all individuals in pursuit of this degree is how to obtain this happiness. There is probably no one answer that fits all individual cases. This, of course, runs contrary to the more popular spiritual approaches found in books and on TV that claim they have the key…your key…to the highest pleasure.

It’s something you have to figure out on your own. If you are of reasonable intelligence, and you are if you’re reading and understanding this, then the clear cut answers provided by others may prove to be an inspiration but not the definitive conclusion to your quest. If you’re not one of the masses, the so very famous sheep, you’ll have to discover for yourself what works and doesn’t work. Maslow may be a hint, but it’s an empty one. A system that needs to be fulfilled by the subjective approach.

As to my answer…well! I haven’t found the answer yet. But at least I’m aware of the question which is always the very first step to obtaining the desired results. The following is as close as I can currently come to the final conclusion:

In the future…

Let there be a mind capable of comprehending what I cannot comprehend…

Let there be a face capable of showing what I cannot show…

Let there be eyes that can see more than I can see…

Let there be ears hearing more than I can hear…

Let there be a heart that beats more passionately than mine

Let there be a soul more peaceful than I can be…

And please…let my work be of some relief to this individual. Let it be a shoulder to lean on…A rock to build from. And if this is not possible, then simply let me be a breath uttered in the language that is human history. Let me be a wind that touches the here and now and allow me the strength to do what I feel must be done.

This is what I ask. This is what I desire. This is what I work for.
